Project Matterhorn will produce over 4 million kilowatt-hours of locally generated electricity per year, contributing to Maryland’s Renewable Energy goals of operating on 50% clean energy by 2030. Matterhorn community solar project provides enough distributed energy to power the equivalent of up to 500 Maryland homes and businesses. This project will incorporate agrivoltaics through sheep grazing, native pollinator planting, and other efforts to ensure the long-term productivity of this land.
