Key Timeline

Predecessor company (Chaberton LLC) enters into development services agreements with third-party developers in Maryland and Delaware for distributed generation and utility-scale solar projects.

The founding team develops a comprehensive business plan and secures equity through Greenbacker Development Opportunities Fund. Chaberton closes the year with five employees and 37 MW under site control.

Growing to 15 employees and 212 MW under site control, Chaberton completes first sale of 6.25 MWdc Projects Friendship I/II in Maryland and executes long-term Virtual Net Metering Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Loyola University.

With additional project sales, Chaberton expands its offerings by adding a C&I team. By year’s end, the company has 28 employees with 424 MW under site control.

Company has 41 employees and 615 MW under site control.

Chaberton secures 100th site in January and is awarded the 34th spot on the Inc. 5000 list, based on revenue growth. With 50 employees and a development pipeline of 1.5 GW, Chaberton is poised for exponential growth in both the community solar and commercial spaces.
