At Chaberton, we’re proud to participate in the Department of Defense SkillBridge program, offering transitioning service members valuable experience in solar development during their final 180 days of military service. Over a minimum of three months, interns learn project management processes, market regulations, solar design using Helioscope, site selection, feasibility studies, and financial modeling for solar projects. ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are looking for an exceptional Employee Experience and Administrative Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate would bring an entrepreneurial, people-centric approach tempered by exceptional attention to detail and become a key nexus of operations and people engagement for the entire team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employee Experience Support (60-70%):
- Act as primary administrative support for the Employee Experience team, assisting with documentation, communication tracking, and team logistics.
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics for employee experience programs, events, workshops, team lunches, office meetings, and other employee engagement activities.
- Draft and deliver internal communication for employee experience initiatives.
- Maintain employee experience-related files, trackers, and documentation (surveys, feedback, participation stats).
- Assist with early hiring process logistics to organize internal recruitment efforts.
- Research and provide HR support to ensure ongoing HR compliance with team growth.
- Benchmark benefits and support benefits expansion strategy and efforts for team members.
- Utilize professionalism and discretion in maintaining confidentiality of employee information.
Office Maintenance (15-20%):
- Manage the physical office space and environment (supplies, furniture, signage, meeting rooms).
- Serve as liaison for facilities, vendors, and building management for maintenance and office services.
- Organize incoming/outgoing Mail & Packages (USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.).
- Ensure the office environment is welcoming, supports team needs, compliant with health/safety standards, and reflects company culture.
Executive Administrative Support (15–20%):
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the CEO, including calendar management, meeting preparation, and travel logistics.
- Draft and edit correspondence, presentations, and basic reports for executive needs.
- Serve as a point of contact between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders.
- Prepare executive meeting materials and follow up on action items.
- Assist with special projects initiated by the CEO, prioritizing according to urgency.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 1 year of full-time experience in an office and administrative support role
- Associate Degree in Business, HR, Communications, Psychology, Data Management, or related field.
- Casual or professional exposure to AI tools and experience with leveraging AI tools to improve work quality and efficiency

LOCATION:
Located at our Rockville, MD office, 5 days per week
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Compensation commensurate with experience.
- Recruiting Hourly Range: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour, targeting 40 hours/week
- Overtime (1.5x Hourly Wage) permitted only with manager approval.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
Manager, Accounting (FP&A) will be responsible for supporting the Director of Accounting and Finance by driving accounting processes, creating an FP&A platform, and contributing to the overall growth and success of Chaberton Energy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in corporate accounting with a focus on FP&A reporting, corporate tax compliance, and accounting processes. The candidate will have the ability to clearly communicate financial insights to key stakeholders. Energy sector experience, while not a requirement, would be an advantage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of GAAP consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards across multiple entities.
- Assist in creating quarterly FP&A reporting and responding to the needs of management and stakeholders with timely and insightful financial analysis.
- Evaluation of new ERP options (including AI Native) with FP&A focus, selection, and subsequent implementation.
- Manage the month-end closing process, including reconciliation of accounts, entries, and financial reporting to ensure timely and accurate closing of the books.
- Assist with annual audit preparation and oversight of independent auditor.
- Perform due diligence, payment tracking, and provide deliverables to support project and corporate transactions. other financial deliverables to support project and corporate transactions, as well as strategic initiatives
- Improve and advance accounting process workflows; promote excellence in execution of process among team members and broader organization
- Administer payroll and manage 401(k) contributions, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and processing payments accurately and on time.
- Help train and supervise staff as needed, providing guidance and mentoring to ensure team effectiveness and development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in an accounting role.
- Must have GAAP knowledge including consolidations, variable interest entities, and stock compensation.
- Attention to detail and organized.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office or similar programs.
- Strong communication skills. Able to summarize complex issues and convey information effectively.

ROLE LOGISTICS:
- Full-Time
- Hybrid from your home office in the Greater Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area with expectations to travel 10% of the time with an expectation of at least 3 workdays/week at the Chaberton Energy HQ in Rockville, MD.
COMPENSATION:
- Annual Salary Range (Commensurate with experience): $90,000 – 120,000

ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are looking for an exceptional Project Development Manager to join our development team. The ideal candidate would bring relevant experience and a structured, yet entrepreneurial, approach to managing projects assigned in both pre-construction and construction phases for Chaberton’s growing portfolio of distributed generation solar assets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead strategy for assigned projects and leverage ownership mindset to tenaciously bring projects to market.
- Conduct iterative analysis of projects to optimize solar productivity and financial returns.
- Coordinate with outside vendors (in accordance with Chaberton’s Delegation of Authority) ensuring Chaberton standard of excellence through quality assurance & quality control of deliverables. Cultivate vendor work product around project development strategy and Chaberton development process.
- Act as tenacious problem solver by identifying issues, conducting critical path analysis, recommending solutions consistent with Development Guardrails to ensure project delivery.
- Propose and rigorously maintain project plans, including schedule and budget of development milestones. Conduct critical path analysis. Propose and implement solutions to improve schedule outcomes.
- Lead project development cross-functionally with internal and external support across commercial, legal, finance, environmental, and engineering domains. Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including utilities and authorities having jurisdiction.
- Drive all internal and external work products of development process with relentless attention to detail and critical eye toward Creativity, Excellence, and Humanity.
- Prepare and deliver presentations for project reviews and decision-making meetings.
- Support commercial and marketing efforts for assigned projects.

- Experience with Google Earth, GIS tools, PVSyst, PVWatts, Helioscope, and other solar industry engineering tools.
- Experience implementing or improving project management processes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills. Able to summarize complex issues and convey information effectively.
- Able to review and interpret technical documents and construction drawings.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Corporate Development and Finance Manager will be responsible for driving financial analyses, supporting project finance activities, and contributing to the overall growth and success of Chaberton Energy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record tax equity and project finance modeling, interpreting market data, adapting financial models to dynamic conditions, and clearly communicating financial insights to key stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage in end-to-end project finance and tax equity initiatives, including structuring, financial modeling, execution and closing activities for sell side, buy side, B2B, and joint venture transactions across solar and co-located / standalone battery storage projects.
- Organize competitive offers and support negotiations of LOIs, MIPAs, and other transaction structures.
- Develop and optimize project financial models for both solar PV and energy storage systems (standalone or co-located), incorporating project-specific value streams such as energy arbitrage, capacity, and ancillary services.
- Collaborate with Chaberton’s Real Estate Origination, B2B, and Development teams to support efficient origination, development, optimization and expansion of high-quality project portfolios, including storage-enabled solutions.
- Monitor BESS-specific market dynamics and regulatory developments, and ensure this information flows to the Finance and Development teams to inform project value assumptions and risk assessments.
- Support in developing core and new market strategies, especially where storage is a key component of market participation; develop in-depth understanding of local and federal regulations, revenue stack, and competitive landscape.
- Strategically improve the corporate pro-forma model to support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic corporate forecasting.
- Influence management decision-making on ad-hoc corporate and strategic matters to enhance operational efficiency and processes, furthering Chaberton’s Creativity-Excellence-Humanity core value framework in day-to-day application.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in project finance, M&A, or corporate finance, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Demonstrated success in financial analysis and modeling, with expertise in project finance principles, tax equity financing, and market research.
- Experience modeling and evaluating energy storage (BESS) projects or solar + storage hybrids is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in all MS Office programs, particularly Excel; Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills — able to summarize complex issues and convey information effectively.
- Attention to detail.

- MBA or Master’s degree in Finance with a concentration in Sustainability, Energy, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in project finance, M&A, or corporate finance, ideally at an investment bank, independent power producer, or clean energy firm.
- 1+ years of transaction experience with Distributed Generation, Community Solar, or energy storage projects (standalone or hybrid).
- Familiarity with battery storage revenue streams across various US markets, interconnection considerations, and merchant exposure is a plus.
ROLE LOGISTICS:
- Salary commensurate with experience, targeting base salary between $130-150k.
